He sacked the quarter back once, and he reminds me by adding “no 3 times and the full back twice Mom..”
So here is Zach Attack in full motion.. (not bad for a 9 year old!)

My sports photography is back in full swing thanks to Zach Daniel. Little man is rockin the house playing defensive end. I’ve posted a few shots in That Gallery to show off some contemporary angles of the black & whites I took. Here’s a link to a couple:

Hope this inspires you to see something as simple as lines on a football field in a new perspective!
For children summer activities is on a daily basis, but as a parent I still only get the weekends to play. T & Z on the other hand have had a great summer.
I talked with Juli yesterday and Oklahoma is starting school on the 13th, really early this year. I’m sure it’s due to all the ice storms and schools shutting down for days, even weeks. Tulsa area schools even had to go to school on national holidays the 07-08 school year to make up for “snow days”. T & Z are not going to A Christian private school this year since the junior high is adopting a “virtual classroom”. Basically, a home school type of program where the students are issued laptops and given all the study requirements and tests online - hard to justify paying private school tuition for no teacher.
Can you believe Taylor will be in junior high though? Wow, she is growing taller too, with heels she is as tall as I am. Zach has started tackle football. He played flag football in Oklahoma for 2 years, but what a huge difference. Before he was in shorts and tennis shoes and today we picked up his pads, gear and helmet. There are no more than 24-25 kids on the team and I’m surprised some made it through conditioning week. Zach was so sore that he soaked in an epsom salt bath the other night - wait til this Monday night his first practice in gear. He is in such good shape that he’s got himself a little 4-pack (abs).
I’m back from time off, Heidi is back from doing her shoot in San Francisco, Michelle is out of the field finally, Tabitha is back to work (Chace is 14 weeks old!) and Beth is back from family reunion, the rest of the girls are rarin to go! - so Sunday the 3rd looks like the day (actually evening) STM gallery is open!
We all have a lot of scrapping and catching up to do, and photography challenges galore.
P.S. With hotties like this, I may want to go to the dark side! ;) I love summer!
Beautiful weekend in Sunny California.
Special shout out to Joe, Happy Birthday Dad. Miss you, you are in our thoughts & prayers.
I’d better get some rest, because we’re gearing up for a big week. If everything goes smoothly on Tuesday, then it looks as if TNGC will be a huge success! No promises, but I will try hard. For those of you that have no clue what TNGC is.. well~ you are truly missing out! here is a little story of the history of TNGC~
Starting in the summer of 1993, (15 years ago) I was a make up artist and manager for Saks Fifth Avenue. I had 2 days off a week, but never back to back. Saturday was my biggest sales day of the week, and so I would take Wednesdays and Sundays off.
Well, so did all my other retail girl friends and so our Tuesday Night was our “Friday Night” and therefore I created- Tuesday Night Girls Club! It was a time to enjoy each other’s company and have a blast. Each Tuesday we got creative - and did something new.
In 2004 when I started my online scrapbooking business, I kept the tradition of my TNGC, and not much has changed. It’s still an awesome group of women getting together and creatively having fun - only now, it’s online.
It took off like wildfire, infact- others have tried to duplicate my ideas and scrapbooking activities but it will never be the one and only- the original, TNGC! I hope you are looking forward to new challenges and friends at TNGC- I know we are!
I’ll keep you updated.
All my best,
Lynette
Wow! these past couple weeks has been a whirl wind!
Life changing events! and STM and Scrappy Chick are right up in the top 3. I have been working about 12-15 hours a day to ensure all of the “things” that matter the most are well taken care of. #1, T & Z of course~ after that, well it’s an exciting time!
We will do our re-grand opening party next week.
I was going to do a soft open last week over the holiday, but there is nothing “soft” about it. If I turn on the boards, then BAM! we’re there! There is still a security upgrade patch I need to install because viruses and hackers since last year at this time, are much more advanced and we want our members safe, secure, and very happy at STM.
Announcing the new STM TDT’s! I appreciate all the hard work and interest put into submitting your scrap art and resumes. It was a wonderfully hard choice to narrow it down. I will renew contracts from now on every 6 months instead of every year. So if you didn’t know about the TDT Call, or weren’t chosen this time, you can really up your skill level before December by hanging out here at STM!
In the meantime, I understand that CHA in Rosemont will have a record low retailer attendence. I will be launching the new Scrappy Chick designs and products online and not at the show. Catalogs will be ready to ship out shortly. The printer says at least 10 days to 2 weeks turn around, but online ordering will be faster.
Beth Swann will be DOS for STM retail and SC wholesale accounts. She will be featured in the next SC newsletter. We’ll get you signed up for that so you are “in the know” and can order the latest and definitely the greatest! and watch for the end of the summer - Get The Scrap Out! sale. Prices as low as 20 cents a 12 x12 sheet (on selected lines) this August!
The upcoming newsletter will include ingenious easy projects and photography tips the TDT have done over the summer and you won’t want to miss it! If you were previous STM member you are already on our list. I’ll be creating an icon button for you to add your name - look for that addition soon.
You are always welcome to email me with any questions or concerns ~ info at scrap that moment dot com. It usually takes me 24 hours to return mail unless I can delegate it to staff.
Hope you are having a wonderful summer, and I will “see” you and your loved ones shortly in That Gallery and be sure to say HELLO! on That Message Board.
All my best,
Lynette
OMG! it’s hot in here! and the temp keeps rising. sounds like our gas prices doesn’t it?
Speaking of that, I paid $4.57 for regular (not premuim) today
..just before my tire blew on the main drag and left me stranded on the side of the road.
I had 2 strange men in an old van pull up along side of me and I asked one if he could get the lug nuts off my wheel. I was in a suit and high heels.. sweating my pretty little butt off and I certainly was not worth a crap. He quickly oblidged such a sweet man- (I’m sure I looked pathetic trying to pull the donut out of the trunk in a suit) and he got tools out of the back of his van and went straight to work. They had my car jacked up and tire off in a matter of minutes and even put the donut on for me. I offered them both $20 each, but they wouldn’t take it. They said, please do something nice for someone else in need. I was able to drive to a tire shop and get it replaced.. from a good advertiser and friend that I wrote commercials for.. for free.
So I tithed some money to church yesterday, paid the babysitter with a healthy “tip” and thanked the Lord above for all my blessings.
I can’t wait to see her on Tuesday, this Oklahoma girl can bring the house down.
They are having American Idol parties big time this week, plus David Cook is going to be here on the tour also!
This holiday weekend is full to the brim!
I pray yours is safe and fun filled. God Bless our soldiers past and present.
My sweetheart is 12 today!
Let’s celebrate! God bless little girls!
If you know me, then you know I’m STILL going a mile a minute.
Every day is completely filled to the gills. Lately, I’ve been very creative, just not on scrapbooking. Well, actually that’s not true–> I’m designing ”life” so I can scrap that moment. I’ll share my darling craft projects and how to’s in my next post.
This week has been dedicated to the children’s birthday parties. Yes, you heard me, it’s PLURAL!~ children. Both T & Z’s birthday parties are this weekend and Taylor wants hers on Friday Night, and Zach’s is Saturday afternoon.
It’s my only Saturday free that I’m not doing a live remote broadcast or photographing a wedding the entire month of May.
Great things are happening, but Rome wasn’t built in a day.
I went to the doctor a couple weeks ago and I got the “speech” with my blood pressure sky rocketing and she said, “Lynette you have to have a day off!”
So I haven’t been to church in a couple weeks. I was going in at 10am service, and working until 8pm every Sunday night because I volunteered to run the daycare at church while the parents had adult bible classes. The children played the whole time, but Taylor is wanting experience to get ready to babysit herself. (can you believe that?)
I just wanted to sleep in, have quality family time and make fresh strawberry waffles! ..or last week I made hashbrowns, bacon and eggs. (ssh, don’t tell my doc
) Anyway, the Sunday’s off have been a God send and I’m finding that balance I talked about.
Balance. It’s much more than the bottom line in my checking account, it’s how I organize my day.
It’s the ability to maintain. In biology in college, which I think I got a C if I was lucky- but from what I remember, it was based on a support system to be able to create a “center”
There are various ways to create “balance” in your life~
…religion (spiritualism), yoga means to yoke (or unite)..
We could be here all day talking (debating) about these, and then you really would say- “where did the day go?” which is the the million dollar question of the day.
So if “Time is Money” and you don’t know where your day went? Then perhaps it’s a safe assumption to say~ it has an important value.
So finding balance is something you might have to pay for?
Thought for the day..
If you had to change your day to be more balanced and productive.. how would you do that?
